Prior Park is on the outskirts of the city of Bath in the UK and because of its topography it offers a startlingly beautiful view of the city. (see last photo!) Unlike most English garden designs that are generally leveled and park-like, Prior Park has a very pronounced slope. A wander through the park moves you from higher ground up by the main house down to water level, the Palladian Bridge and some very nonplussed swans.
