The Proof is in the Prints
During our late-summer visit to Copenhagen we were thrilled to connect with Kell and Olga of print publishing studio, Printer’s Proof and to take the opportunity to visit their lovely printshop in Valby, a neighborhood in the south east of Copenhagen.
Founded in 2013 (same age as Print Club, twins!) Kell Johan Frimor is Master Printer and Art Historian Olga Zolin is Studio Director. They balance commercial contract printing work with more self-directed publishing projects with invited artist collaborators. The common thread being that all the pieces coming out of their shop are of an exquisitely high standard.
Kell and Olga have an infectious enthusiasm for technique, problem-solving and collaborative decision-making with each artist. They also share our own interest in working with artists who may not have previous experience with printmaking - finding joy in forging pathways between artist’s unique studio practice and the possibilities of the printshop.
