Studio Visit | Tom Kracauer, Los Angeles
We’ve long been fans of Tom Kracauer and his work. I think we first heard of him when he worked on a couple of pieces for Claire Nereim’s and her gorgeous Plant Planet print shop. Originally from New York City (one of those rare breeds) Tom moved out to California and is a graduate of the Cal Arts Graphic Design MFA. He has really carved out a niche for himself working both on more traditional silkscreened editions as well as unconventional print projects that require the thought and consideration of a design mind.
Tom has set up a terrific space in the North East of Los Angeles with the perfect setup of two separated rooms for coating and exposing as well as a big, bright printing space for working on a variety of projects.
