Copenhagen Botanic Gardens

If you’re been reading our journal long enough you’ll know I’m incapable of traveling to a new city without visiting its botanic gardens. It’s lucky that when I’m traveling with my landscape architect parents they’re only too happy to oblige (it just leaves poor Graham drinking an espresso under an umbrella somewhere).

When we were in Copenhagen over the summer, we stopped by their lovely gardens and despite seeing no shortage of cactus and succulents at home in California, they were what I was most captivated by. I particularly loved the group of hanging bromeliads in the final row of photos below. The second-to-last image is Graham’s cactus spirit animal (could always use a little more head room). The beautiful, close-up butterfly pics are my dad’s - courtesy of his great eye and great telephoto lens. Enjoy!
