Studio Visit | Kate Banazi, Sydney
We’ve been long-time ‘virtual’ fans of Sydney-based screenprinter Kate Banazi and yesterday we got to be superfans in REAL LIFE! We popped by her brilliant studio in Sydney’s inner-west to have a chat and see what she’s been up to (which is a heap.) Kate prints, illustrates, teaches print workshops, dyes her own fabrics and designs the most beautiful silk scarves you can imagine. She has collaborated with the likes of Aussie fashion dynamo Dion Lee, translated her unique print style and design aesthetic to illustration jobs and also has a brilliant online store where you can nab some of her fantastic work. What a treat!
